This statement by Parineeti has not gone well with netizens who trolled the actress for failing to understand the concept of pay parity. Several users commented on the video saying the actress just showed how unaware people are about the concept of pay parity and why she shouldn't have given such a statement.

Parineeti made the comments in an episode of Tapecast, where she was promoting her upcoming film, Jabariya Jodi, with co-star Sidharth Malhotra. She said, “I always felt like I deserved a little bit more but I only got this much. But then we make it up with endorsements. Girls do a lot of endorsements so we kind of make it up. So that is why I never talk about it (pay parity) because the boys don’t do as many endorsements as girls. I hope I’m right. A user trolling Parineeti's statement wrote, "who cares about pay parity when you can do beauty and hair commercials." Here are some other reactions to Pari's statement.  Parineeti Chopra Starts Shooting For ‘The Girl on the Train’ Hindi Adaptation
