Parineeti Chopra Begins Prep for The Girl On the Train Remake With Her Super Special Coffee Mug - See Pic!
Parineeti Chopra begins work on the Bollywood remake of The Girl on The Train and we are super excited about it.
It is happening! Parineeti Chopra has now begun prepping for her upcoming film, which is the Hindi remake of Emily Blunt starrer The Girl On The Train. After the remake was announced and Parineeti's role in the film was confirmed, there had been no news about the project for a while and we finally have an update. The film is being helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta who debuted in Bollywood with Amitabh Bachchan starrer Teen. Parineeti Chopra’s Saina Nehwal Biopic to Go on Floors in October.
Parineeti took to her social media to share a picture of the script of the film and wrote about starting to work on the project. With the picture of the script, Parineeti wrote, "GirlOnTheTrain (Also meet my 7 yr old coffee mug that I cannot live without! I use it everyday. Take it everywhere. It was #SahajChopra’s first ever gift to me so its super super special.)
The film is based on Paula Hawkins' 2015 bestseller of the same name. Parineeti will be seen essaying the role of an alcoholic divorcee which was played by British actress Emily Blunt in the Hollywood film.

A few days ago, the actress opened up about facing comparisons with Emily Blunt who aced with her act on the original film, Parineeti said, "Emily Blunt’s performance in The Girl On The Train had blown my mind and it is a privilege for me to play the character that she has essayed so brilliantly on screen. The restrain and range she showed as an actor while playing a girl who is troubled and battling herself in the film showed what a fantastic actor she is. When any actor does a remake of a loved film, there are expectations to match the original, if not better it. So, I realise that audience will look at our film and draw comparisons to the original as well as compare my portrayal of the protagonist vs Emily’s. ”
In the meantime, Parineeti's other big project, the Saina Nehwal biopic is also set to go on the floors in October and the actress has been busy working on her Badminton skills prior to it.
