Bollywood singer Papon has been hurled with a controversy after he was seen kissing a 11-year-old contestant from ‘The Voice Kids India’ show. National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) chief Stuti Kacker revealed to the Republic TV, that the body sent a notice to Papon and the channel saying that it found the video objectionable. However, the girl’s father came out in the support of the singer, saying that it was just a ‘moment of affection’. Now, Papon himself has come out in open to talk about the issue for once and all.

In a n official statement posted on Twitter, the Kyon singer said that he appealed to people to think about the girl and the families involved in the matter, before accusing him with allegations. He also said that the video has been framed in a faulty camera angle and that it is no where a ‘sexual assault’ as it has been mentioned.

Papon also mentioned that he has kept the video on the social media as he has done nothing wrong as he has been accused of. He also further added he has the support of his family throughout.

Meanwhile, the girl’s father as well, took the singer’s side, saying, “Papon sir is a mentor and a father figure to my daughter and has always encouraged her to pursue her dreams. He doesn’t differentiate among the children who are here and gives them equal guidance on pursuing their dreams. What you saw in the video is not intentional. It was just a moment of affection that is being portrayed otherwise. I would request and urge the media to not pursue this further.” We wonder what the fate of the case will be next! Stay tuned for more updates.
