Ashutosh Gowarikar's period drama Panipat is all set to hit the big screens in India on December 6. The Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon film has impressed the audiences already with its official trailer that's getting praises for its grandeur. The film is based on the historic Third Battle of Panipat when the Maratha army took on the Afghani invaders. Story
Panipat is set in the 18th century where the Marathas had built one of the strongest empires in entire India. It is confronted by Afghan King Ahmad Shah Abdali (Sanjay Dutt) who plans to take over the Maratha Peshwa kingdom by going against Sadashiv Rao Bhau (Arjun Kapoor).
