After a gap of 12 years, director JP Dutta returns to making an epic war drama, a genre he is most comfortable with. The man who has given us hits like Batwara, Hathyar and Border, is all set to release Paltan. The movie that is based on the Indo-China war of the '60s, Paltan boasts of an ensemble cast, something that has a been a distinct feature of all JP Dutta movies (see LOC - Kargil).

So Paltan will star Jackie Shroff, Suneil Shetty, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, Harshvardhan Rane, Luv Sinha (Sonakshi Sinha's brother, Siddhant Kapoor and Pulkit Samrat. While we have had posters of the film before (as well as a little teaser), the makers have finally revealed some of the character posters of the cast. Check them out below -

Talking more about the movie, Paltan is produced by JP Dutt'a daughter Nidhi Dutta under the banner JP Films along with Zee Studios. Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan was a part of the cast, before he mysteriously walked out of the film a day prior to the commencement of the shoot. Paltan is about the Nathu La and Cho La military clashes of 1967 which took place along the Sikkim border. The movie is all set to release on September 7.
