JP Dutta is back in the game with another patriotic film named Paltan. Needless to say, the movie is filled with a string of actors namely Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhary and Siddhant Kapoor in the lead. The makers dropped the first look of the film and it screams devotion. You will be surprised to know that the makers reportedly featured real Indian soldiers on the first poster of Paltan. The film focuses majorly on the bonding between these soldiers and how their families live when they are away. The plot itself shows that it is going to be an interesting watch.

The actresses roped in, in the film are Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan and Dipika Kakar. Talking about the vigorous work out, Gurmeet Chaudhary was quoted by DNA saying, “I wanted to perfect the psyche of my character of an army officer before I reached the location to shoot. I watched war films so that I had a good understanding of what has already been done and what I could do in Paltan. Movies like Atonement, Schindler’s List, Inglourious Basterds, The Reader, Saving Private Ryan and Enemy At The Gates among many others helped me in my prep. I hope it reflects in my performance.”

The movie was in the news because of the sudden exit of Abhishek Bachchan from the war-drama. The reports claimed that Sonu Sood’s larger screen timing in the period film bothered Jr Bachchan. Some reports also claim that Abhishek did not want to do a multi-starrer movie. Well, now that the first look is out, do let us know your thoughts on the same in the comments section below.
