A source close to the production house revealed to Spotboye, “It has been almost six months that the film released -- but the producers have not cleared the dues of few actors and even some daily-wage workers. J.P. Dutta’s daughter Nidhhi had promised to mend the situation as soon as possible but she has not fulfilled her commitment. Whenever we knock at her door, she requests us to come next time and delays the payment.”

Paltan received average reviews from the audience and neither did it shine at the ticket windows. With regards to the payment the source also mentioned, “Zee Studios, who were involved in the film, have already paid the amount which they had to pay to J.P. Dutta. So, it is Dutta who has to now pay. But Nidhhi is just not interested in finishing off the issue. Gurmeet Choudhary is widely known for his works in the television industry. He made his Bollywood debut with the romantic horror, Khamoshiyan, which released in 2015. When asked about the pending payment the actor confirmed to Spotboye, “My staff and I haven’t received our payments”. The report also mentions that actors Siddhant Kapoor and Luv Sinha have also not received their payment. However, the actors refused to confirm about it.
