Popular trade analyst and critic, Taran Adarsh, has been getting a lot of flak from Shah Rukh Khan fans after he gave a bad review to Zero. Taran Adarsh had given one and a half stars to the movie, and called it a 'fiasco'. Now on the face of it, it is a very unfair practice to target a critic for his 'opinion' since not everyone can be impressed with a movie. However, Shah Rukh Khan fans pointed out that he had given similarly poor reviews to some of his better efforts like Swades and Chak De India. Some of the users even compiled his past reviews where he gave better ratings to films like Judwaa 2 and Loveyatri#PaidCriticTaranAdarsh Trends on Twitter As ‘Zero’ Fans Give Positive Reviews and Trolls Movie Critic for Giving Poor Ratings to SRK Film.

As they trolled the critic on social media, they used the hashtag #PaidCriticTaranAdarsh on Twitter. Now that hashtag got a fresh lease of life after a new video of Taran Adarsh hugging Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar went viral on social media.

The video was taken after the special screening of Simmba for the press fraternity on December 27. Simmba stars Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav were present along with director Rohit Shetty and co-producer Karan Johar. The video shows Taran Adarsh hugging Ranveer before going on to meet Karan Johar. It may be a pure coincidence, but the critic later went on to give Simmba four stars and called it a 'Winner'! Simmba Movie Review: Ranveer Singh Roars In This Weak Singham Clone That Trivialises a Serious Crime.

SRK fans are making the video go viral, and controversial industry watcher, KRK even posted on his timeline to taunt Adarsh.

It is still unfair to call out on one man, where there are other reviews that are in praise of the movie. But this is social media and here the anger and frustration go multifold. Simmba is a movie that is bound to impress those who like mindless entertainers and disappoint those who look for some meaning. Maybe, Mr Adarsh belonged to the first category. While we are on this topic, can we request the stars not to come during the press screenings and influence the reviewers?
