Pagalpanti and Frozen 2 released yesterday and both have fared exactly the way they should have. The Anees Bazmee directed multi-starrer comedy Pagalpanti hardly had much buzz around it which was reflected in its first day numbers if early reports are to go by. Frozen 2 has managed to live up to its expectations because the original had done great business too. Pagalpanti has apparently earned somewhere around Rs 3.5-4 crore in the first day while Frozen 2 collected Rs 3.5 to 4.5 crore. Pagalpanti had released in 3000 screens if reports are to be believed. So obviously the animated Hollywood sequel had less number of screens to work on and yet it managed to score pretty well in India. Check out the numbers here...
#Pagalpanti takes a slow start at the box-office as opening day seems to be in the range of Rs 4.00 to 5.00 crore. The film was a wide release on 3000 plus screens, but it was more or less a no show at the BO.

Frozen 2 keeps it nice and hot at the box office!
#Frozen2 springs in a pleasant surprise, as it is set to emerge one of the biggest openers for an animated film. Early estimates suggest Rs 3.5 to 4.50 cr opening for the Disney Franchise. The biz will jump big on Sat and Sun. Current record holder: #Incredibles2: 3.85 cr

Pagalpanti's start was a pretty bad anyway with only 15% occupancy in the morning shows while the noon shows was at 20-25%. The trending was enough to give you an idea what the film will collect by the end of the first day.
