If PadMan's budget was not Rs 90 crore (production costs plus marketing costs), then the movie should have been profitable by now. After all having seen the Akshay Kumar social drama, it shouldn't have been made on such a high budget. Unfortunately, as of now, PadMan is struggling at the box office with very negligible chances of making it to the Rs 100 crore club in the domestic box office. This happened to be Akshay Kumar's forte, as he has been scoring Rs 100 crore plus box office scores in the last few releases (save for Naam Shabana in which he had an extended cameo).
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted the latest box office figures, and going by that, PadMan has managed to collect Rs ₹ 74.65 crore. There is a decline in the collections, what with both Padmaavat (in its third week run) and Black Panther giving it some real tough competition. This also begs us to ask this - Will Akshay Kumar's movies only perform when it releases during a national holiday (as Padmaavat originally planned to do, before Akshay Kumar 'graciously' paved for Padmaavat).
Here's Taran Adarsh's latest update on PadMan's box office collections,
#PadMan [Week 2] Fri 2.10 cr, Sat 3.15 cr, Sun 3.78 cr, Mon 1.50 cr, Tue 1.25 cr. Total: ₹ 74.65 cr. India biz.

PadMan is Twinkle Khanna's maiden production venture and is inspired by the life of Padma Shri winner Arunachalam Muruganantham who made low cost sanitary pads for the less privileged women. Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte play the female leads in this R Balki-directed film.
Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Gold, directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The movie is based on India's first gold medal for hockey in Olympics as a free country, and also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Vineet Singh.
