Padmaavat is seriously one of the most talked about films ever in Bollywood’s history! The period drama has left everyone stunned more because of the controversies than its content. These controversies not only affected the makers but also other movies waiting for their releases. As the period drama was announced to get released on January 25, PadMan makers were put into a tough spot. R Balki had booked the slot much earlier and the sudden announcement of Padmaavat on the same day disrupted the plans. Even though they stayed firm on their decision for a few days, the PadMan creators have now decided to postpone their flick to February 9. PadMan will now 'date' with Aiyaary!

So, interestingly, the Akshay Kumar's menstrual hygiene themed film will clash with Sidharth Malhotra starrer Aiyaary. Initially, the makers of both the movies had averted the clash and set for the solo releases. But now, Padmaavat got the benefit and the latter two flicks will fight at the box office.

Meanwhile, PadMan actress Radhika Apte is super- positive about the social drama. She told PTI, “It is a relatable film. I hope people will connect with it emotionally. We have made the film with a lot of thought and emotion. The aim is not to bring about a revolution but to make people openly talk about it. Hygiene of women is important. Whenever an advertisement of sanitary pad comes on television, people stop looking at it. This needs to change.”

On the other hand, Padmaavat is still under the scanner of the protesters. The Karni Sena recently threatened that they would bury Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali alive if the magnum opus gets released. Despite the green signal from CBFC and the SC, the film continues to be the talking point and the fans are impatiently waiting for the big release now.
