Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently celebrated the success of Padmaavat. The film got appreciation from the critics, celebs as well as the masses across the nation, a good reason to celebrate, right? Well, you might be surprised to know that despite this gala, the trouble is still not over for the makers. No, we are not talking about Swara Bhasker’s opinion letter against the movie. Turns out that the Jodhpur High Court has decided to review the film and have set the date of watching the film on February 9 at Judicial Academy auditorium. Why, you ask? It is to decide whether the magnum opus has hurt any religious sentiments or not!
While most of the nation has already watched the masterpiece, the Jodhpur court is still contemplating on releasing it in Rajasthan. An FIR was filed against Bhansali in Didwana police station of Nagaur district for allegedly distorting the facts in Padmaavat. SLB in return filed a petition to reject the FIR against him. Now after viewing the film, the court will decide the remaining fate of the flick.

Another controversy that hit the period drama was Swara Bhasker’s letter slamming Bhansali for ‘glorifying’ the practice of jauhar. The letter did not go well with many celebs and advised the actress to see the film’s context and era. Deepika Padukone even quipped that Bhasker might have gone to get popcorn when the initial disclaimers related to jauhar were shown in the movie. The actress was at the receiving end of the trolls and abuse for her letter. Padmaavat fever is not going to die soon and the Jodhpur High Court’s review is awaited.
