Sanjay Leela Bhansali delivered his biggest hit of the career with Padmaavat earlier this year. And so did Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. All thanks to Karni Sena! Thanks to their totally warrantless protests against the movie, Padmaavat go so much push during the release with the audience wanting to see what the whole the fuss is all about. Despite the movie getting mixed reviews and is in fact one of SLB's weaker movies, Padmaavat has turned out to be the biggest hit in the director's choreography. Even overseas, the movie has did stupendous

Now that the movie has complete 50 days at the box office, Sudhanshu Vats, the Group CEO of Viacom18, one of the producers has put out a tweet, that says the movie has crossed Rs 300 crore at the box office.

If that's the case Padmaavat becomes the sixth movie to gross more than Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office. It is also the first Bollywood movie to do so that doesn't have Salman Khan or Aamir Khan in the lead. Even Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan can't claim that achievement!

As of now, Padmaavat joins Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, as well as Aamir Khan, Dangal and PK in the 300 crore club. Prabhas' Baahubali 2 leads the pack with its Hindi version earning more than Rs 500 crore.

However, trade experts have not yet revealed that Padmaavat has managed to gross more than Rs 300 crore at the box office. The last updated box office figures on Box Office Hungama is Rs 291.57 crore. So what's the deal here?
