Padmaavat Box Office Collection Day 3: Ranveer-Deepika-Shahid Movie is Inching Towards Century as it Rakes in Rs 83 crores

Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer Padmaavat is flying high like a kite. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali made magnum opus has conquered the box office with amazing collections over the Republic Day weekend. On Day 3, the film garnered Rs 27 crores taking the total collection upto Rs 83 crores. The masterpiece has managed to do the unimaginable in just three days which is commendable. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Padmaavat continues to SPARKLE... Biz on Sat [after a big holiday on Fri] was EXCEPTIONAL... Will comfortably cross ₹ 100 cr mark today [Sun]… Wed [limited preview shows] 5 cr, Thu 19 cr, Fri 32 cr, Sat 27 cr. Total: ₹ 83 cr. India biz.”

Like the analyst said, the period drama is successfully marching towards the prestigious hundred crore club that too just in 3 days. The figures prove that the Republic Day holiday turned out to be a boon for the makers of Padmaavat as it raked in the highest collection until now. Even though the numbers on Saturday dipped, the over- all weekend effect will definitely help the flick gain more amount.

It can be recollected that the film was earlier supposed to release on December 1. However due to protests and other problems, the makers finally announced January 25 as their release date. This date was blocked by Akshay Kumar for his big release ‘PadMan’. However, considering the kind of hurdles the Padmaavat makers were constantly facing, Akki humbly postponed his film to February 9 and the rest is history! Have you watched this much- awaited film?
