Padmaavat actor Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder while playing football, according to reports online. Ranveer was spotted this afternoon wearing a bandage around his hand as he stepped out. It is also being said that the actor might not be able to perform at the IPL 2018 opening ceremony due to his hand injury.  A spokesperson of Ranveer confirmed the news of his injury to a leading web portal saying, “Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to overstrain it for at least 1 month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for Gully Boy as per schedule. Ranveer is in consultation with the doctors who will advice him, in a day or two, on whether he would able to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he is doing the finale act.”

He is apparently being paid Rs 5 crore for his 15-minute act at the ceremony.

Ranveer sported a casual avatar wearing stripped tracks and a bright yellow tee shirt. His blue cap and red shades added the much needed quirkiness to his entire look.

On the work front, his last film, Padmaavat was a massive hit at the box office. Ranveer is currently prepping for Gully Boy, his next with Alia Bhatt. This is the first time the duo will be sharing the screenspace on the big screen and we cannot wait to see them together.

As far as his personal life is concerned, we were among the first ones to tell you this morning that he is likely to tie the knot to longtime girlfriend Deepika Padukone by the end of this year. The Singh and the Padukone families met a couple of months back and have locked in four auspicious dates between September to December 2018. Let's wait for the big announcement to happen soon.

Talking about these recent pictures, we wish you a speedy recovery, Ranveer!
