Varun Dhawan is back in the ‘serious’ zone with Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’. After giving mass entertainers like ‘Badrinath ki Dulhania’ and ‘Judwaa 2’, Jr Dhawan has chosen a rather unique script where he plays a hotel management trainee. Now, his character Danish Walia aka Dan is nothing like the usual chirpy self that he is. In the introduction video of Dan, we can see how he is made do all the chores that take place in the industry as a ‘punishment’.

In the video, the Piku director tells us how a trainee has to do all the work irrespective of his original post if he fails to do his given job perfectly. Varun is seen doing all sorts of work from changing tires, killing mosquitoes to mopping the floor! We don’t know about Dhawan, but as audience, we are intrigued by this raw role by the star! Check out the video here.

The Student of the Year actor will be seen in an intense and emotional role in the film. This costed some real tears! Earlier talking to a leading daily, a source told a leading publication, “Varun is in a completely different zone right now as he shoots for October. The film has a lot of scenes where his character has a meltdown and breaks into tears. The actor will be seen nursing heartbreak in the film.”

“Cry without any glycerine — that’s what Shoojit told Varun. He wants the audience to feel the pain and agony that Varun’s character goes through. Varun actually broke down on the sets and cried while shooting a scene. Shoojit and the entire crew were bowled over by Varun’s performance in that scene,” added the source.

A lot of efforts have gone in the making and as we can see, this will probably be one of the best projects of Varun till date! October also stars Banita Sandhu and it will hit the screens on April 13.
