In an interesting casting coup, the makers of Bharat had signed three female leads for the Salman Khan-starrer. So there is Priyanka Chopra, who is returning to Bollywood after a gap of two years. The National Award winning actress Tabu is also a part of the film. Later, Disha Patani, who was last seen as Tiger Shroff's romantic interest in Baaghi 2 earlier this year, was also roped in to play a part in Ali Abbas Zafar's ambitious period piece. But as per a report in DNA, contrary to our expectations, she is not playing Salman Khan's love interest in the movie.
In fact, she would be playing the role of his sister in this adaptation of the Korean film, An Ode to My Father, as per what a source close to the movie told the publication. There is such a character in the original movie, played by actress Shin Rin-ah. In Bharat, Disha Patani is playing a trapeze artiste and she is undergoing training to look the part.
Bharat would be the third film collaboration of Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar, after delivering two blockbusters earlier in Tiger Zinda Hai and Sultan. The movie will release in 2019. Salman Khan, meanwhile, will be seen next in Race 3 that is directed by Remo D'Souza. It will also star Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernande, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Bobby Deol. The movie is scheduled to release on June 15.
