Noor Malabika Das, age 37, an actress and a former air hostess has tragically died by suicide. Her body was discovered in her flat in Lokhandwala, Mumbai on June 6. According to Mid day, she hanged herself from the bedroom fan. The incident came to light when neighbours noticed a foul smell emanating from the flat and alerted the Oshiwara police. Upon entering the flat after breaking the door, police found Noor's decomposed body hanging from the ceiling fan. During their search, police collected medicines, her mobile phone, and a diary from the house. The body was transported to Goregaon's Siddharth Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Despite attempts to reach her family, no one came forward. According to reports, the police conducted her last rites on June 9, aided by the Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO (They oversee the cremation of unclaimed bodies in the city.) An officer stated, "We contacted her family, who had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Das, aged 37 and originally from Assam, had appeared as a lead actress in numerous Hindi films in the Ullu app and web series, including Teekhi Chatni, Siskiyaan, Walkaman, Charamsukh, Jaghanya Upaya, Dekhi Andekhi, Backrod Hustale, and more. Her forthcoming project for Amazon Prime, The Good Wife, features Kajol and Jisshu Sengupta.
