We know by now that Akshay Kumar is making his Tamil debut with the very much delayed 2.0 that has Rajinikanth in the lead. Now we have this latest update that another Bollywood debut will be making his Tamil debut with another Rajinikanth film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is going South with Rajinikanth's 165th film, that is directed by the maverick young film-maker Kartik Subbaraj, of Pizza and Jigarthanda fame. As per reports, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing the main antagonist in the film.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has put out a tweet, confirming his presence in the yet-untitled film and that he has started prepping for the role. The tweet also has a picture of the actor sitting in front of a dressing mirror and learning his lines in Tamil. He also mentions that he is looking for the delightful experience of working with Rajinikanth.

Earlier in an interview to Mid-Day, Nawaz had this to say about his Tamil debut, "Rajni sir is a legendary actor. So while I am excited to work with him, part of me is also nervous. I am trying to make the most of the opportunity. It will be incredible to observe him and learn a few things. I am learning the Tamil dialogues. It may be a concern initially, but once I get in the flow, it shouldn't be a bother." The film will also star Vijay Sethupathi, who is one of Kartik Subbaraj's favourite actors, and Trisha Krishnan. Both the stars are working with Rajinikanth for the first time.
