The fourth song of Raghav Juyal, Punit J Pathak, Isha Rikhi and Dharmesh Yelande starrer Nawabzaade, Amma Dekh has surfaced on YouTube. However, 90s kids beware for you may not appreciate the new rendition of the song! Like all the songs that have been released so far by the filmmaker, we've witnessed some mind-blowing dance moves. The boys have been bringing in a lot of originality with respect to the dance sets and steps. But can't say the same for their latest choice of song. In the age of reprising old classics, Nawabzaade's attempt to recreate Jackie Shroff's Stuntman song Amma Dekh... (tera munda bigda jaaye) fails to strike a chord with us.

Nawabzaade's Amma Dekh rendition was highly anticipated for weeks because of the song (of, course). Another reason why we were eager for the song was for Shakti Mohan. The fact that Shakti Mohan was teaming up with her peers from Dance India Dance and Dance Plus made it a strong case to expect a lot more from the song. It did make us go down the memory lane for the song as well as the dancers. But the song did not heighten our spirits. In fact, even Shakti's charm failed to impress us.

Despite Shakti's mind-blowing moves and sensuality, something about the song seemed amiss. For us, the song's rendition, the music, the vocals, the theme and everything related to them didn't work. Also, the whole three guys fighting for one girl idea has been done to death (thrice in Nawabzaade's songs itself!). The latest song definitely lacks the playful innocence of the original song.
