Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak and Dharmesh Yelande are popular among those who watch reality shows, especially the dance ones. Once participants of the Dance India Dance show, they have become mentors on the same show and had impressed the viewers with their amazing dance skills. The trio has also been an integral part of their mentor Remo D'Souza's ABCD series, making their acting debut with the first movie. Dharmesh Yelande also played one of the leads in Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri's Banjo.

Now Dharmesh, Raghav and Punit play the main leads in Nawabzaade, a romantic comedy about three boys wooing a single girl. The maiden in question is played by Isha Rikhi, while Mukesh Tiwari and Vijay Raaz play integral roles. Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, Badshah, Shakti Mohan and Sanjeeda Sheikh appear in cameos. The movie is directed by Jayesh Pradhan.

Nawabzaade released this Friday along with Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Sanjay Dutt's Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3. However, not only did the movie not get enough screens as the other two, even the reviews were not kind to the film.

Check out what major publications are saying about Nawabzaade -

Filmfare says, "The production values are very B movie and the situational comedy is way over the top. The comedy is crass and crude at times but thankfully doesn’t step over the lines of decency, though it does objectify women in some scenes. The dialogue are well written and do make you smile. The film’s stance is that love makes fools of us all but one shouldn’t get deterred by it and just go through the experience. It’s three leads look their parts and share a real life camaraderie which gets translated on screen as well."

IB Times says, "Nawabzaade fails miserably at making the audience laugh. The film lacks the required substance in the storyline as well as in the dialogues, factors that are considered pivotal for a comedy film. Even good comic actors like Vijay Raaz and Mukesh Tiwari failed to add life to this flick."

Mumbai Mirror says, "Apart from serving as a vehicle to endorse the film’s soundtrack, it’s difficult to say why this one was even made. But for those who care, Nawabzaade is a clichéd story of three friends who fall for the same woman and a convoluted track that lands them behind bars."

TOI says, "Dharmesh, Raghav and Punit have good comic timing and some really hilarious punchlines. But, since there is no meat in the story, all other aspects just fall through. The writing is cliché and seems hastily assembled. Jayesh Pradhan has tried to pull off another bromance this year with ‘Nawabzaade’ but his take on the subject is so ho-hum that it goes haywire right from the word go. The second half is painfully pedantic and for a straight-laced romcom, the end is a little too bizarre."
