Check out this list of onscreen doctors who definitely deserve a spin-off:
Dill Mill Gaye - Dr Armaan and Dr Riddhima
Two of the hottest doctors ever on India TV. Well, Karan Singh Grover played Dr Armaan and Kanchi Kaul played Dr Riddhima on Dill Mill Gaye. They both became an overnight sensation because just how gorgeous they looked.
Dear Zindagi - Dr Jehangir "Jug" Khan
Shah Rukh Khan played the charming psychologist Jug with the out-of-the-box approach towards his patients. SRK looked just as hot as much he looked intelligent dishing out some excellent life advice on screen.
Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya - Dr Samir Malhotra
Well, not the most trustworthy doctor you'd come across. But Salman Khan brought an endearing and redeeming quality to this funny character.
Udta Punjab
Kareena Kapoor Khan played the badass Dr Preet Sahni fighting a war against drugs. She is hands down our favourite in this list. Kareena has also played a doctor in 3 Idiots and Kambakht Ishq.
Khoobsurat - Dr Mili Chakravarty
Sonam Kapoor plays a physiotherapist with the quirkiest sense of fashion ever. She is extremely good at her job. So much so that she lands jobs with the Indian cricket team and the Royals of Rajasthan.
Munna Bhai MBBS - Munna
We know, we know. Munna Bhai was not a doctor. But he did have the spirit of an ideal doctor. Didn't he? Sanjay Dutt played the loving character.
Paa - Dr Vidya
Vidya Balan brings her A-game to this film and leaves an impact despite having superstar Amitabh Bachchan getting the best scene. Vidya plays a gynaecologist in the film and had become one despite the curveball life threw at her.
Sarabhai VS Sarabhai - Sahil Sarabhai
Played by Sumit Raghavan, Sahil Sarabhai was the most relatable character on this comedy show. His character certainly made the job of a cosmetic surgeon look lucrative.
Salaam Namaste - Dr Vijay Kumar
Abhishek Bachchan appears in the rom-com for a cameo in the role of a doctor. He was so hilarious in the film that we wish there was a spin-off based on the character.
So, that was our list of our favourite doctors on screen. We cannot wait to see more of the representation of medical professionals onscreen. ICYMYI, medical drama, Sanjeevani is all set to return with a sequel, after the spin-off Dill Mill Gaye. Also, another doctor, Kabir Singh, is currently the talk of the town. We have kept him out of the list, well, for obvious reasons.
