We have heard of ghost who possess people, who frighten people and even the friendly ones like Casper who mean. Now it is time to meet Jaanu, the ghost that cleans apartment of Naanu. Naanu Ki Jaanu is a quirky romcom that brings Abhay Deol and Patralekhaa back on the big screen after a gap of two years. Abhay Deol was last seen in 2016's sleeper hit Happy Bhaag Jayegi, while Patralekhaa was seen in the erotic thriller Love Games released in the same year. Naanu Ki Jaanu is directed by Faraz Haider. Manu Rishi Chadha has penned the screenplay while also playing the role of Abhay's friend in the movie.

Now we have the first trailer and it looks to be a really hilarious one. Abhay Deol plays a goon, Naanu, who has his flat haunted by a ghost, that seems obsessed with keeping his house spic and span. Though what the spirit does for him is nice, Naanu's life goes topsy-turvy in trying to get rid of the spirit. His friends don't believe him at first too, and here's where a hilarious Manu Rishi makes a fine impression.

And just like expected from a Bollywood movie, the good surely falls for the ghost. The final scene in the trailer when the goon informs the cops about the ghost in the house will leave you in splits.

Naanu Ki Jaanu is scheduled to release on April 20. Interestingly it is the same day that Ishaan Khatter's debut movie Beyond The Clouds is also slated to release, as well as Omerta, that stars Patralekhaa's boyfriend Rajkummar Rao. With Varun Dhawan's October coming a week early and Avengers: Infinity War and Rajinikanth's Kaala coming a week later, Naanu Ki Jaanu surely has its hands full. We have to see if the spooky comedy will make it a sleeper hit just like it worked for Abhay Deol last time with Happy Bhaag Jayegi!
