On September 24, 2019, it was Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, who announced on the micro-blogging site that Bollywood’s veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been selected for Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2019. Spreading the news on the web, the minister in his tweet wrote, “The legend Amitabh Bachchan who entertained and inspired for 2 generations has been selected unanimously for #DadaSahabPhalke award. The entire country and international community is happy. My heartiest Congratulations to him.” Right from the moment this joyous news went viral, actors from across industries started pouring congratulatory messages on social media for Big B. But among the pool of wishes, one particular message for the Sholay star really stood out and it was by none other than the Mumbai Police.
