Earlier this year, Rishi Kapoor gave an excellent performance in the family entertainer, 102 Not Out, where he played Amitabh Bachchan's son. Now he is all set to deliver another powerful performance, while also being seen in a new look, for his upcoming movie, Mulk. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu and is directed by Anubhav Sinha.
Both the lead actors have shared new posters which are all about their characters in the film and hints at an intriguing case being fought in a court. So Rishi Kapoor is playing Murad Ali Mohammed, who is the accused. His whole Muslim look is interesting and we wonder what accusations are levelled against him. Meanwhile, Taapsee plays Aarti Mohammed who plays the defence lawyer.

In an earlier interview, director Anubhav Sinha, who had earlier made Sanjay Dutt's Dus and Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One, had this to say about the story, "Mulk is a story that happened to me one afternoon here in the office in May last year. I just had a one-line idea and I shared it with my friends and they loved it too. But we felt very strongly about the film and knew it was going to be tough to set the film up in terms of casting it and in terms of raising finances.”
Mulk is scheduled to release on August 3, that already has Fanney Khan and Karwaan coming out on the same date.
