One of the greats of India’s music scene, singer Mukesh passed away on August 27, 1976 in Detroit, Michigan. He had gone for a concert and complained of chest pain after coming out of the shower. They rushed him to the hospital but he succumbed to a heart attack. In his career, he was known as the voice of Raj Kapoor. Mukesh who idolized K.L Saigal would imitate him to perfection.
