Mouni Roy to Turn Into a Vamp For Ranbir Kapoor- Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra

Ranbir Kapoor- Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is on the floors and fans are all set to experience the fantasy trilogy soon. The Ayan Mukherjee directed film will be a superhero based story with a mixture of ancient and contemporary world. Moreover, the star-studded cast including Alia, Ranbir, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan is exciting everyone. However, what kept fans guessing was the exact role of the ‘Naagin’ actress Mouni Roy. To their surprise, the beauty from the Television industry will be playing a villain in this three- part fancy flick.

Revealing about Mouni’s character, a source told a leading daily, “Alia will obviously play the damsel in distress, who is Ranbir’s love interest in the trilogy. But Mouni will play a villain in the first part. Her character will have shades of grey." Now that’s something new for all the fans of Ms Roy.

Meanwhile, the lead stars recently flew off to Tel Aviv, Israel to prep for the adventure fantasy. The pictures from the distant land floated on internet instantly that made the fans definite about the amazing chemistry that the duo will have in the film.

Ayan recently gave away a few tid-bits about the plot of the film that probably might thrill you. At a film festival, the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani maker told the reporters, “It’s a modern-day film set in India as it exists today. But the reason it’s called Brahmastra is because the energies, wisdom, powers in the film come from ancient India. That’s all I would say. There are some costumes, may be not the way you’d expect them to be.” Clearly, there are ample of elements in the film that makes it worth waiting, including Mouni’s new avatar. The TV diva will also be seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Gold next.
