Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Mom is having a dream run at the China box office. The movie released on May 10 and since then has been drawing the Chinese crowd to the cinema halls. After taking a good opening and ending week 1 on a high note, the crime thriller recently became the eight Indian film to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club in China. And now Sridevi's last film is heading towards the Rs 150 crore mark. Last week, Ishaan Khatter's critically acclaimed debut film Beyond the Clouds also released in China but it has failed to impress the moviegoers. Coming back to Mom, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#Mom puts up an impressive total in *3 weeks* in #China... Total till 30 May 2019: $ 15.72 million [₹ 109.71 cr]... All eyes on Hrithik Roshan’s debut film in #China... As you read this, Hrithik has just reached #Beijing to promote #Kaabil, which releases on 5 June 2019."
Yes, while Sridevi and Nawazuddin starrer continues to fare well at the ticket windows, Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam's Kaabil will soon arrive in theatres to entertain the Chinese audience. In India, the film had hit the screens in January 2017 and did good business at the domestic box office. It turned out to be a crowd puller and Hrithik was especially lauded for his dumdaar performance.
