Mission Mangal, the upcoming film directed by Jagan Shakti, is based on the story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It highlights their contribution to the Mars Orbiter Mission. On July 18, the makers of Mission Mangal released a trailer in which the entire lead cast was featured - Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, H. G. Dattatreya and Sonakshi Sinha. The trailer showed what it took India to propel Mangalyaan to Mars. And today, August 8, the makers have released a new trailer of Mission Mangal, focusing on Rakesh Dhawan. Akshay Kumar essays the key character in this film, Rakesh Dhawan. Before releasing this trailer his character poster was unveiled in which it was clearly stated, ‘A bachelor of science who believes there’s no science without experiment.’ He is the one who led this mission along with a group of women, juggling between home and work, using home science techniques to turn this impossible mission possible. In the new trailer, Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan can be seen taking extra ordinary efforts to make this 'Impossible' task possible. Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal or John Abraham's Batla House: Which Trailer Looked Promising?

Akshay Kumar had said in a statement, "This is a work of 17 engineers and scientists at ISRO. While listening to so many real stories of women scientists, I found it amazing how they managed their homes while being so incredible at work." This incredible story of Mission Mangal is all set to hit the theatres on Independence Day 2019, August 15.
