Mission Mangal New Promo: Akshay Kumar Narrates a Poem ‘Yeh Sindoor’ to Salute the Women of Mars Orbiter Mission (Watch Video)

The efforts of the team of scientists who worked on India's Mars Orbiter Mission make the story of the upcoming film, Mission Mangal. The movie features a stellar cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu among others. The cast is dominated by strong actresses, bringing to the forefront the contribution of female scientists. In the latest promo of Mission Mangal, Akshay narrates a poem called Yeh Sindoor, which highlights the part that women had to play in the real-life mission. As he narrates the poem in his trademark voice, the female ensemble of the film goes about living their day while working on the mission. Mission Mangal has been directed by Jagan Shakti. Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi also star in it. The movie, backed by Fox Star Studios and co-produced by R Balki and Akshay, is slated to release on August 15. It will clash with John Abraham starrer Batla House at the box office.
