Mission Mangal Box Office Collection Day 7: Akshay Kumar's Latest Outing Surpasses the Lifetime Business of Jolly LLB 2, Collects Rs 121.23 Crore

Mission Mangal is Akshay's second successful outing this year. Earlier, the actor was seen in Kesari which arrived in cinema halls during Holi and got cash registers ringing at the Indian box office. With two more films lined-up for release, it seems 2019 is going to Kumar's biggest year to date.

After registering the second biggest opening of the year and entering the Rs 100 crore club in just five days, Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal has now one more milestone to its credit. The film has surpassed the lifetime collection of Akki starrer Jolly LLB 2  within a week which is actually commendable. The multi-starrer space drama released last Thursday and immediately stormed the box office. Talking about the film's collection, on Wednesday Mission Mangal raked in Rs 6.82 crore, bringing its week 1 total to Rs 121.23 crore. Revealing the same, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and wrote, "#MissionMangal crosses *lifetime biz* of #JollyLLB2 [₹ 117 cr] in 7 days... Thu 29.16 cr, Fri 17.28 cr, Sat 23.58 cr, Sun 27.54 cr, Mon 8.91 cr, Tue 7.92 cr, Wed 6.84 cr. Total: ₹ 121.23 cr. Further, Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "The film continues to perform very well in the big multiplexes while the mass centers are dropping more than the bigger centres. The Friday will tell where this film is going but if we add what Kesari did after the first week then we are probably looking at a lifetime total of 175 crore nett. That film added 49 crore nett approx after the extended eight-day first week."

Directed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal has been made on a reported budget of Rs 32 crore and is already a hit in India. At the worldwide box office, the film has already earned Rs 167.17 crore and could very well surpass the Rs 200 crore mark.
