Mission Mangal Box Office Collection Day 13: Akshay Kumar's Film Continues to Rake in Moolah at the Ticket Windows, Will Comfortably Cross the Rs 175 Crore Mark
Made on a reported budget of Rs 32 crore, Mission Mangal is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of this year. It is also the 9th Akshay Kumar film which has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office in the last five years.
Akshay Kumar, who has delivered one too many hits in the last decade or so, is currently riding high on the success of two back-to-back films. Kesari, which arrived in cinema halls during Holi this year, turned out to be a big crowd-puller and now its Mission Mangal that's ruling the Indian box office. The space drama co-starring Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, and few other prominent faces has been in theatres since August 15 and so far it has not only raked in over Rs 170 crore at the ticket windows but it has broken quite a records at the box office too. Mission Mangal Box Office Collection Day 12: Akshay Kumar's Multi-Starrer Film Is Doing Well in Week 2, Collects Rs 168.48 Crore
After having a fantastic run over the second weekend, Mission Mangal fared decently on its second Monday by earning Rs 3.87 crore. On day 13, Tuesday, the multi-starrer film again clocked in around Rs 3.30 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 171.78 crore in India. Since Jagan Shakti's directorial venture has been performing consistently, it wouldn't be surprising if the space drama would bring in good numbers on Wednesday as well. Mission Mangal Box Office Collection Day 11: Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan's Movie Surpasses the Rs 150 Crore Mark in India, Rakes in Rs 164.61 Crore
Currently, Mission Mangal is the fourth highest-grossing film of the year and its very much likely that Akki starrer will end its theatrical run with that status itself. We say so because Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor's much-awaited film Saaho is set to hit the screens this Friday which means Kumar's movie would take a backseat from August 30 onwards. However, Mission Mangal will still get cash registers ringing but obviously not in the Rs 3 crore range.
