#MeToo has travelled to the darkest corners of B-town. After Tanushree Dutta triggered the movement with sexual harassment allegations against Nana Patekar, the wave has hit many other celebs. The latest name that popped up in this movement was that of T Series Chairman Bhushan Kumar. He was accused of asking for sexual favours in the bargain of roles by an anonymous woman. However, after denying the allegations, he has now filed a complaint at Mumbai’s Amboli police station.
He has filed the complaint against an unknown person for posting offending remarks and statements against him on social media and leveling sexual harassment allegations at him.
Earlier, his statement read, “The tweet has been used as a tool to defame me and malign my reputation. I have taken this allegation very seriously and lodging a complaint with the cyber cell of the Mumbai Police to track the mysterious people(s) whose twitter handles have disappeared within seconds of uploading the malicious tweet. I’ll take all such actions as I will be legally advised.” Read Bhushan Kumar's Full Statement Here.
Not only Bhushan Kumar but also other personalities like Luv Ranjan, Mukesh Chhabria, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl, Varun Grover, Subhash Kapoor, Subhash Ghai amongst others are named in this movement. While the film bodies like CINTAA and Producers Guild of India are taking stringent action against these names, the legal course is yet to be taken by some. Stay tuned with us for latest information.
