#MeToo in Bollywood: Survivor Drops Case Against Super 30 Director Vikas Bahl Over Sexual Harassment Charges

While the survivor may have dropped the case against Bahl, he has gone full steam ahead in his legal fight against his former Phantom Films partners, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.

Vikas Bahl

When the #MeToo movement was growing stronger in India, one of the big celebs in Bollywood who felt the heat of the movement was director Vikas Bahl. Known for making Queen and Shaandaar, Vikas Bahl was accused by a former employee of Phantom Films, a production company he co-founded, of sexually harassing her. Though the allegations were made public in 2017, it was only with the recent #MeToo movement that Bahl faces the consequences of the allegations. He is reportedly being kept away from the promotions of his upcoming film Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30, while Phantom Films has been dissolved. The survivor had also reportedly initiated legal proceedings against him. Kangana Ranaut Is Furious With Vikas Bahl’s Ex-Wife for Supporting Him, Asks Her to Stop This Bull Shit!

However, in a development that would be a setback for the #MeToo movement, she had dropped the legal suit against Vikas Bahl, as she has had had enough. As per a report in Times Now, she had issued a statement through her lawyer, that reads, '"I have had enough and I am still suffering at the hands of this man even after three years. I do not want to be involved in litigation so will not file an affidavit. Will only put out a statement." As the victim doesn't wish to pursue the case further, we wonder if Bahl would be given a clean chit by the industry. Vikas Bahl's Ex-Wife Slams Kangana Ranaut For Her Allegations Against the Super 30 Director and Hrithik Roshan.

While the survivor may have dropped the case against Bahl, he has gone full steam ahead in his legal fight against his former Phantom Films partners, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. He has filed a Rs 10 crore defamation suit against them and alleges that these two have been fabricating lies against him to discredit him. Even the court has slammed Kashyap and Motwane for not being able to present the witness and said that the victim should not be misused.
