#MeToo in Bollywood: Rakhi Sawant to Issue Rs 50 Crore Defamation Case Against Tanushree Dutta For Calling Her 'Lower Class Girl'

#MeToo movement has gone to a different level altogether! After Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment, Rakhi Sawant slammed her allegations. The war of words between Rakhi and Tanuhsree have now taken a legal turn. After Tanushree recently slapped a defamation notice of Rs 10 crore on Rakhi, the latter has now reverted claiming to slap a Rs 50 crore defamation case on her.
In a video interaction, Rakhi said, "She has filed a Defamation case against me for 10 crores I will file one for 50 crore. I will file a 50 crore defamation case against Tanushree for calling me a lower class girl."
She further added, "Nana Patekar and Raj Thackeray have not given attention to Tanushree Dutta. She tried her best to rob them, this was just a publicity stunt for a passport, Visa or a bank account or even if it’s for her Bollywood comeback. They did not give her any attention so now she feels that she should target me. Now she wants publicity on my name and is gone to court. I will give a befitting reply in court." It all started when Tanushree Dutta accused Nana of sexual misconduct on the sets of 2009 film 'Horn Ok Pleasss'. The latter denied the allegations saying that he would fight it out legally. After this case, #MeToo movement gained momentum. Bollywood personalities like Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor, Sajid Khan, Alok Nath, Subhas Ghai, Subhash Kapoor to name a few have been accused by women of sexual harassment.
