Film Producer Karim Morani, who is known for being a business partner of none other than the king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan, is in soup. Fresh troubles have come to the fore for Morani as the rape victim speaks to media channel to give her verdict of the episode that happened in 2015. Morani who produced hit films like Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Dilwale and Ra.One, was arrested for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman on the pretext of marrying her.

It would be pertinent to note that Morani had surrendered at the Hayatnagar police station. The Supreme Court had even upheld an order passed by the Hyderabad high court cancelling the anticipatory bail granted to him.

The victim had lodged a complaint with Hayatnagar police alleging that Morani had lured her into sexual relation after promising to tie the knot with her.

She in her complaint also stated that she was raped repeatedly in Mumbai and also twice at the Ramoji Film City on the outskirts of Hyderabad between September and October, 2015.

She also details that Morani shot her nude pictures and videos on his mobile and blackmailed her, stating that he would share the pictures with her friends.
In his defence, Morani had claimed the sexual relationship was consensual. Police booked Morani on several charges including rape, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation. The detail result of this case is awaited but this episode is likely to get further push thanks to the momentum #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns has generated!
