#MeToo in Bollywood: CINTAA Forms Committee, Members Include Swara Bhaskar, Raveena Tandon, Renuka Shahane

Not only the #MeToo issue, but they also addressed the fire safety situation.

#MeToo movement in Bollywood has picked up the pace. After several sexual harassment cases emerged against various celebs by women, the eminent bodies in the tinsel town have decided to take stringent action against the offenders. After Producers Guild of India, Cine and TV Artists’ Association (CINTAA) has decided to tie up with POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Work). General Secretary/actor Sushant Singh informed in a press conference about this collaboration. The members will be Raveena Tandon, Renuka Shahane, Amol Gupte along with journalist Bharti Dubey and lawyers of POSH.

Speaking of the sexual harassment accusations against actor Alok Nath, he Sushant added, "Alok Nathji has replied to our show cause notice and requested our cooperation. He has requested us to not expel him until law decides the course."

Not only the #MeToo issue, but they also addressed the fire safety situation. Sushant said, "We are also taking fire fighting actions seriously. People die on sets only because there is no awareness and firefighting training." He also spoke on the child artists and their long working hours. CINTAA would look upon balancing the shoot hours and their school hours.
