After several sexual harassment cases being out now from various personalities, Producers Guild of India has taken responsibility for the safety of women. For taking the final decision on the steps to be taken for the committee set up by the guild. Aamir Khan was snapped at this meet recently where he would contribute to the decision. Currently headed by producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, the other members are Ramesh Sippy, Ekta Kapoor, Mukesh Bhatt, Vishal Bhardwaj, Farhan Akhtar, Rajkumar Hirani, and Ashutosh Gowariker.

Earlier, the body had issued an official statement saying, “Producers Guild of India extends its complete support to the movement to call out and report sexual harassment and abuse whenever and wherever it occurs in our industry. We believe that there is an urgent need to set up a robust process to ensure the highest standards of safety for employees and crew members at the workplace - whether in offices or on sets of productions. We are instituting a committee within the Guild to lead this effort, and we are determined to stay the course till workplaces in the industry are safe spaces for everyone." Earlier, another film body named he Cine And TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) sent a show-cause notice to Hum Aapke Hai Kaun actor Alok Nath. He has been accused of sexual misconduct by the writer of a popular TV serial of 90s.
