Vidya Balan has portrayed some phenomenal characters on the big screens. The actress was last seen in N.T.R: Mahanayakudu, the second film in the two-part series directed by Krish. It was a biographical drama in which Vidya essayed the role of Nandumuri Basava Ramatarakam. Filmmakers are presently coming up with various biopics and true-stories inspired films. And according to latest reports, a film based on the life and political journey of BSP leader Mayawati is in the making and Vidya Balan has been considered as the lead actress. Neither Aishwarya Rai nor Taapsee Pannu but Deepika Padukone to Play Amrita Pritam in Sahir Ludhianvi Biopic?

According to a report in Pinkvilla, there were almost seven to eight actresses who were being considered for this role. But a birdie has informed the portal that most likely Vidya Balan will bag the role. However, no official announcement has been made about it yet. The report also mentions that Subhash Kapoor (whose last film was Jolly LLB 2), would be directing the biopic based on the Bahujan Samajwadi Party Chief Mayawati. Meanwhile, Vidya Balan will also be seen in Ajith Kumar’s Nerkonda Paarvai, a remake of the Hindi original Pink. She is also filming for Jagan Shakti's project titled Mission Mangal, in which Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen will also be seen in the lead. Till then, let’s wait for a formal announcement on BSP chief Mayawati biopic.
