After nearly four years, the very affable Riteish Deshmukh is all set to return to playing the lead in a Marathi film in Mauli. The last time he did so was with Lai Bhaari, and the movie turned out to be a huge hit. While the Bollywood fans, used to see Riteish in comic roles more often, might have found this switch to action unusual, the Marathi viewers have wholeheartedly accepted him as their action hero. The makers know this and that's why the first teaser has Riteish revelling in action that we usually see in an Akshay Kumar or an Ajay Devgn movie. Playing to the son of soil theme, the teaser has Riteish in a moustache-twirling avatar bashes villains left, right and centre. Mauli has Saiyami Kher as the female lead. The movie was recently in the news when Shah Rukh Khan thanked Riteish for shifting the release date and allowing Zero to have a solo release on December 21. As per the new update, Mauli is now releasing a week before, that is, on December 14.
