Going against the might of Akshay Kumar and his Kesari at the box office is one of the most unusual vigilante movies to come out from Bollywood. Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, or as the English title goes The Man Who Feels No Pain, is directed by Vasan Bala. The movie has been doing very impressively in the festival circuit, even winning the People's Choice Award: Midnight Madness at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. For those who are not aware, Abhimanyu Dassani is the son of actress Bhagyasree of Maine Pyaar Kiya fame. He is the 'Mard' of that title, who suffers from a rare condition that makes him impervious to pain and uses it to his advantage to fight baddies. In the video, Radhika is seen complaining about why she is needed for promotions when it is being sold on a star-kid's name. She takes further digs at Bollywood's obsession with nepotism, as the video shows how every poster is about Dassani's character. Soon, Radhika takes the conversation to how Bollywood heroes love their ladies to play damsels-in-distress, and wonders if that's what she is also going to do. Fret not, for the next scene has Radhika take down a ruffian, karate kicks and all, and show us that she is no less a hero of the film than the purported 'Mard'.

Interestingly the promo video also claims of 'Reintroducing Radhika Madan'. The former television actress had made her debut last year in Vishal Bharadwaj's Pataakha, where her performance of a quarrelsome sibling received acclaim. Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota will release in India on March 21.
