Manmarziyaan: Abhishek Bachchan is Maintaining A Insta Diary of His Shoot and The Pictures Are Making Us Excited For This Anurag Kashyap Film

Abhishek Bachchan is returning to the big screen with his upcoming film, Manmarziyaan, after a gap of two years (his last film was Housefull 3). The romantic drama is said to be different from other films of the same ilk. For one, it is directed by Anurag Kashyap, known for his violent gangster dramas and dark thrillers. Secondly, Abhishek and his co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu form an unusual love triangle that reminds us of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Abhishek is quite kicked up about the role in the film (for which he even walked out his mentor JP Dutta's Paltan) and he has been maintaining picture diary sort of thing on Instagram progressing his shoot in the film. Using the trend, #RoadToManmarziyaan, Abhishek has been posting pictures that capture a candid moment during the shoot featuring Bachchan Jr. #RoadToManmarziyaan started off with a backward countdown of 30, is now standing on its 13th day of a constructive run. Each picture adds to a story unknown, giving insights about the schedule that could have remained untold, otherwise.

My first visit to the sets of #Manmarziyaan. I wasn't shooting but @anuragkashyap10 had asked me to come on set just to get an understanding of the set and film. In film parlance we call it "feel"! I always say that make-up is an actors armour. And make-up artistes one of the most important people of an actors team. Vinod Upadhyay has been doing my make-up on and off since Dostana. While making a film you're part of a larger family... We were lucky to be visited by the children of our wonderful steadycam operator Manoj. It was his birthday and his wife and kids came to spend time with him. I truly love this about our industry; one big family!! And as my brother @karanjohar said... We were rehearsing a rather intense scene.... I know it doesn't show from our body language. But, this is how @anuragkashyap10 approaches such scenes. He makes the environment and atmosphere very relaxed and allows his actors time to just effortlessly slip into the mind space he wants. This was a very new approach for me but I really enjoyed it. He removes the stress and hustle-and-bustle of the set and just gives his actors space and time. A true luxury if you've ever been on a film set. This was my second day of shoot in Amritsar. A wonderful scene when Robbie meets Rumi for the 1st time. The location was this beautiful house in the centre of old Amritsar which was meant to be Rumi's home. Had posted some photos I had taken from this terrace during the shoot. Manmarziyaan is all set to release on September 7. The movie has been creating the right kind of buzz with its songs and character intro promos.
