There are few epic films in Bollywood which leave a mark. There is a magnanimity in terms of the sets, costumes or the VFX effects to give that feel. The first impression of watching Kangana Ranaut sitting on the throne with her child is so strikingly similar to Baahubali- The Beginning's scene of Shivagami with the child. The feel of the set, the lights and the entire scene is so similar that it just cannot go ignored without comparison.

In Manikarnika's teaser, Kangana is seen shooting a firearm at the enemy and if you see closely the trailer of Padmaavat, Shahid Kapoor has a similar scene. Now there is no doubt that war techniques will be similar in epic dramas but the way it is pictured looks similar.

Manikarnika's sword fight vs Mastani's sword practice in Bajirao Mastani

Any war film is driven by the power-packed fight scenes. It is an important element of the film but look through the teaser and you cannot help but bring back Deepika Padukone's practice in Bajirao Mastani. The jump especially is far from innovative.

If you are an ardent film lover of such historical epics, then these things will resonate. More than the scenes, the look and the feel in terms of the sets and the lighting has striking resemblance with each other too. We do not undermine the work of any of the artists behind this film, but when there is so much in common, we cannot ignore it too.
