Well, the clash is on! Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is clashing with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 on January 25, 2019. This information got confirmed when the makers of Manikarnika had released the first poster of the film that had the release date. With the clash verified, we are curious to know how Hrithik and Kangana would promote their movies without avoiding mentioning the rivals' names. We are sure the promotional buzz for these movies would be far more interesting than the films themselves.
Let's talk about the brand new poster of Manikarnika. Far more than a real still from the movie, it is made to look like an oil painting of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi leading her army into the war, with her child strapped to her back. It is like an illustration that we see in our history books, so nice touch there! Also not sure, but is that Tatya Tope riding behind the Rani of Jhansi?

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is directed by Telugu film-maker Krish. The movie also stars Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu, Atul Kulkarni and Sonu Sood. Earlier in the now (in)famous interview with Sadhguru, Kangana had revealed about how they had changed a scene in the movie because of cow vigilantism. She had said, "I'm working on a martyr's biopic 'Manikarnika' where there is a scene where my protagonist, Laxmibai, goes and saves a calf. My crew had a discussion, we halted the shoot. They said 'we can't save a calf' because we don't want to look like cow savers." They used a goat instead, because well, no raises a hue or cry over a poor goat.
