Manikarnika Controversy: ‘Simran’ Writer Apurva Asrani Comes Out in Support of Krish in His Verbal Feud Against Kangana Ranaut – Read Tweets
Apurva Asrani had earlier accused Kangana of changing the narrative of Simran, sharing credits as writer and making the movie all about herself.
Telugu film-maker Krish has finally broken his silence over his unceremonious exit from last week's release, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. In a couple of tell-all interviews that he had given to Spotboye, Subhash K Jha and Bollywood Hungama, Krish talked about his disappointment with Kangana Ranaut and how she is lying about claiming to have reshot most of Manikarnika. He alleged that most of the scenes he has shot for Manikarnika has been retained as it is, and only a very few scenes have been shot by Kangana (she gets the first credit for director). While he was happy that it didn't mar the final product by much, Krish was annoyed with how some of the supporting cast members' roles were reduced by Kangana to give her more prominence. Krish's anger with Kangana was clear in the interview, to the extent that he even called her 'rude'. Kangana Ranaut Is Rude: Manikarnika Director Krish Makes SHOCKING Revelations About the Actress.
And as always, when it comes to Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood has been quiet over the matter, not willing to take sides here. However, writer Apurva Asrani comes out in support of Krish. Through a series of tweets, Apurva showed solidarity to the filmmaker and called out on Kangana for hijacking other's films once again.
If you are not aware of this, Apurva Asrani had earlier accused Kangana of changing the narrative of Simran, sharing credits as writer and making the movie all about herself. He had also alleged that the director Hansal Mehta had not taken a stand then, which he reminded us once again in his new tweets. After Krish's interviews came out, Kangana's sister Rangoli, a fierce supporter of her sister, slammed him for trying to steal Kangana's spotlight. She had tweeted, "@DirKrish chalo man liya you directed the whole film now please calm down, still Kangana is the leading face of the film let her enjoy this moment of her success and great appreciation, please leave her alone, we all believe you now please take a seat".
