Actor Nihar Pandya, who will be seen in Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, is set to tie the knot with singer Neeti Mohan in February this year. The actor, who grabbed eyeballs almost a decade ago due to his alleged affair with Deepika Padukone, finally opens up about his relationship with the Padmaavat actress. In a recent interview with Masala, Pandya revealed that he wishes the news headlines announcing his wedding stop addressing him as Deepika’s ex, further adding that he has no bitterness in his heart for the Piku actress and that he wishes her a happy married life, however, he wants to have an identity of his own and don’t want to be referred to as Deepika’s ex. Speaking of his equation with Deepika, the actor had earlier said that the two are amicable and keep in touch. He added, "It's all very much on a friendly note. But these days when you say friends people feel there is something more to it and we should check with the other person as well. Unfortunately with these relationships that I have been tagged, there is a wrong notion among people that I am wanting to be with an actress. That is not how we had planned it."
Talking about Pandya and Neeti's wedding, the pre wedding ceremonies of the couple are scheduled for the Valentine’s day while their marriage is on February 15, 2019. A report in Mumbai Mirror suggests that the media-shy couple wanted to keep the news under wraps but since they couldn’t do it, they are making sure that no other information regarding this is revealed.
On the professional front, Pandya is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Neeti, on the other hand, is an established Bollywood singer who has sung songs like – Jiya Re from Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Kaun Nachdi from SKTKS, Sapna Jahaan, Kheech Meri Photo, Ishq Wala Love and others. Pandya's Bollywood debut film is scheduled to release on on January 25, 2019. Watch this space for further updates.
