Comedienne Mallika Dua recently posted a series of Instagram stories slamming the PadMan challenge. Akshay Kumar's strategy to promote the film PadMan did not go well with her. Owing to her previous feud with Akki, the posts instantly went viral. However, the Tinder Aunty fame sensation, posted a note on Twitter saying that she totally supports the film but does not support the promotional gimmick that they have used.

Mallika said in the note that she is appreciative about the film and the cast of the film. However, the Instagram challenge targets the wrong audience according to Dua. She also added that she wants the movie to do exceedingly well.

Earlier, Mallika shared through her Instagram stories, "Always remember. Each time you feel weak, each time you feel lesser than your equals, each time you feel you've been made to feel lesser for no reason and that the fight has just about begun, when you feel society and the govt have not given you your due, hold up a sanitary pad and post a picture of it on Instagram. You will feel empowered. So empowered. Bye."

Meanwhile, Bollywood celebs are flooding the social media with the snaps of themselves holding the sanitary pads extending their support to the challenge. Stars like Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Nimrat Kaur, Swara Bhaskar, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Deepika Padukone and others joined the bandwagon. While this strategy is getting immense love from the tinsel town, the fans on the social media are a bit skeptical about this way of promotion. The micro- blogging site is abuzz with various suggestions that the filmmakers should have opted for instead of merely posing with the pad. What are your thoughts on this?
