Shanaya Kapoor's mom Maheep Kapoor turned a year older yesterday and Karan Johar hosted a lavish yet intimate bash for her at his residence. Last night at Karan's residence, the Arora sisters - Malaika and Amrita Arora, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor dropped by to attend Maheep's birthday celebrations.

Some inside photos and videos from the party are doing the rounds on social media, the most interesting one being the one in which KJo introduces the guests at his place in his own hatke way! He introduces Malaika as the 'Brand ambassador of the gym look', Amrita as the 'Brand ambassador of the hair salon look' and Sidharth Malhotra as the 'Hottest boy in Bollywood'. This is so cool! Also, let us tell you, Arjun and Malaika arrived at the venue separately. Kareena Kapoor's sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan and hubby Kunal Kemmu were present at the party too. If these videos and pics are anything to go by, tinsel townies seem to have had a blast last night, especially Karan Johar!

For those who don't know, Maheep was an NRI of Punjabi origin and a famous jewellery designer and was Maheep Sandhu before she married Sanjay.  The couple has two children - Shanaya and Jahaan.
