7G Rainbow Colony has a similar plot as Malaal - Ravi Krishna's character is a good-for-nothing fellow, who first fights and then falls for the new girl in the colony, played by Sonia Aggarwal. The girl tries to change the ways of his life, including making him more responsible. When the girl's family find out, they elope and this leads to certain tragic consequences.
