Currently, apart from Sujoy Ghosh's Badla, if there is any film that's doing good business at the ticket windows then its Laxman Utekar's directorial venture Luka Chuppi.  Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead, the romantic comedy, which came out on March 1, has been rock solid at the box office since day 1. The film opened to good reviews and surprised everyone by collecting Rs 8.01 crore on the first day itself. Revealing the updated figures, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter a while back, "#LukaChuppi continues to show an enthusiastic trend during weekends... Records healthy numbers on [third] Sat and Sun [despite reduced screens/shows]... [Week 3] Fri 1.62 cr, Sat 2.25 cr, Sun 3.40 cr. Total: ₹ 82.51 cr. India biz."

He also tweeted, "#LukaChuppi⁠ ⁠biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 53.70 cr, Week 2: ₹ 21.54 cr, Weekend 3: ₹ 7.27 cr. Total: ₹ 82.51 cr. India biz. HIT. #LukaChuppi benchmarks...Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 7, ₹ 75 cr: Day 14. Kartik, who shot to fame with his first film Pyaar Ka Punchnama back in 2011, has slowly established himself in the rom-com genre. Last year, he delivered a hit in the form of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and now this year it's Luka Chuppi that has tasted box office success. With back-to-back hits under his belt, no wonder Kartik has become quite popular amongst the masses and also filmmakers.
